BT has become Avaya's first Platinum Service Provider Business Partner in Europe , and one of only 12 strategic partners worldwide.
BT has attained Platinum Service Provider Partner status by meeting Avaya’s highest achievable standards in delivering converged communications, measured by levels of business engagement, customer service and professional qualifications. The award recognises BT’s significant and ongoing investment in certification, training and service delivery. BT only began working with Avaya in April 2000, yet in just five years we have become its primary channel to market in Europe .
BT and Avaya signed a European partnership agreement in 2004, and prior to this latest recognition BT was Avaya’s first and only Gold Service Provider in the region. The new partnership status highlights the strength of the joint service proposition, which combines Avaya’s enterprise portfolio of IP telephony and communications applications and BT’s international systems integration expertise.
BT now has over 100 network customers supported on the Avaya MultiVantage platform, supported by over 150 Avaya certified engineers, solutions consultants and integration consultants from BT’s Avaya Centre of Excellence.
By leveraging the products, services and expertise of both companies, BT has developed offerings to meet the specific communications requirements of customers from local Government through to multinational businesses.
Testimonial
Mac Fox, Global Vice President of the BT account at Avaya, said, “I believe that BT’s achievement of Avaya Platinum Service Provider Business Partner status is a reflection of the significant focus and resources that both companies have dedicated to the partnership.
“Customers can be confident that when they source Avaya’s enterprise IP and applications portfolio through BT, that they will receive the full scope of BT’s service capabilities and expertise,” he said.
Service Commitment
BT has developed a dedicated service centre to support Avaya customers, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is the primary point for diagnosing and resolving customer problems. Also based in this centre is the BT support team, which is trained to handle more complex issues and can model system difficulties on internal Avaya platforms.
